Emptiest high streets in region revealed as ‘shopping habits changed’

Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, and Chester-le-Street are among the 100 emptiest high streets in England, according to a report by Power To Change, and local Labour MPs believe “13 years of austerity” is the reason.
